Full Job Description

WPS is seeking a skilled and proactive Shift Engineer to join our dedicated team at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge. This role involves delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a high-profile site, with a strong focus on building systems performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with health and safety standards.,

  • Respond to and complete help desk tasks (planned and reactive) within agreed timeframes, ensuring accurate reporting and handover to the Manager
  • Carry out first-line maintenance on all mechanical and electrical plant, including pumps, motors, drives, AHUs, LV switchgear, PLCs, and SCADA systems
  • Monitor and optimise building systems to ensure efficient operation and continuous improvement, with a focus on sustainability
  • Operate and maintain building services systems in line with site procedures and statutory regulations
  • Provide occasional event coverage, paid as overtime if outside of shift pattern
  • Occasionally support other sites as required, This role is based on a single site, with occasional travel to other locations.

  • Proven experience in a similar electrical engineering role within facilities or building services maintenance
  • Up-to-date electrical qualifications and a solid understanding of statutory regulations and industry codes of practice
  • IOSH Working Safely certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to high standards and quality assurance
  • Ability to work effectively within a continental shift rota
