Full Job Description
Torus are seeking an experienced Sheltered Scheme Manager to join our Sheltered Team, supporting older and vulnerable residents to live independently and safely. In this role, you will work closely with residents, families, and partner organisations to deliver tailored support, carry out wellbeing checks, manage day-to-day scheme operations, and ensure services remain compliant. You will also play a key role in tenant engagement, welcoming new residents, and fostering a connected and inclusive community. This role will require regular travel around the Liverpool area. What You'll Be Doing:
- Triage frontline housing management issues, ensuring schemes remain compliant and signposting to specialist teams where required.
- Respond to day-to-day enquiries from residents, contractors, and external agencies on site.
- Manage low-level tenant disputes and liaise with the Safer Estates Team when needed.
- Organise and attend tenant engagement sessions, including setting agendas and recording key actions.
- Support the lettings process through risk and needs assessments and property viewings to minimise voids.
- Deliver thorough inductions for new residents, including property checks and promoting safe, secure living.
- Provide guidance on using communal facilities and accessing digital services for rent payments and repairs.
- Deliver a case management approach, including wellbeing checks and reviews to support residents in maintaining independence.
- Respond to emergency calls and ensure appropriate follow-up actions.
- Support tenancy sustainment by advising on rights and responsibilities, facilitating access to support services, and offering guidance on rent arrears and welfare benefits.
- CIH level 3 or willingness to work towards.
- Demonstrable experience of working within a sheltered housing environment,
- housing and or social care sector, with older and vulnerable people.
- Track record of completing assessments and developing support plans with
- targets and outcomes for clients.
- Track record of managing caseload and multi-agency working
- Experience of crisis management, risk minimisation and making decisions in
- difficult situations.
- Ability to listen, understand and signpost to meet the needs of clients.
- Flexibility in approach to work in terms of evening and weekends required.
- Full, clean UK or EU Driver's License with access to own vehicle Interview Process:
