Full Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SHE professional to join a business committed to operational excellence, safety and sustainability, where you'll work closely with the leadership team to develop a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with UK legislation and industry best practice. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the site's Safety, Health and Environmental strategy.
- Ensure compliance with UK SHE legislation and company standards.
- Develop and continuously improve SHE management systems.
- Provide expert SHE advice and guidance to managers and operational teams.
- Lead incident investigations and implement effective corrective actions.
- Drive behavioural safety initiatives and employee engagement.
- Monitor SHE performance through audits, inspections and KPI reporting.
- Manage environmental compliance, including permits, waste and sustainability initiatives.
- Support operational and capital projects through effective risk management.
- Coach and influence leaders to embed a positive SHE culture.
You'll have: - A minimum of five years' management experience within a manufacturing or process industry environment.
- A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline.
- A NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 qualification).
- Strong knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Experience developing and improving SHE management systems.
- Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading incident investigations and delivering measurable SHE improvements.
