Full Job Description
As an SHE Associate, you'll work closely with operational and business teams across Warton and Samlesbury, helping to manage risk, support compliance and promote a positive Safety, Health & Environmental culture. This is a varied, hands-on role offering exposure to manufacturing, engineering and business operations, with opportunities to make a real impact every day. Core duties:
- Provide professional SHE advice and support across operational and functional areas
- Lead and support accident and incident investigations, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Support risk assessment activities and promote effective risk management practices
- Assist with SHE assurance activities, audits and compliance requirements
- Produce and maintain SHE performance data, reports and management information
- Support the implementation and maintenance of SHE management systems and standards, You'll join a supportive team of SHE professionals responsible for maintaining high safety, health and environmental standards across our sites. Working closely with operational teams and business stakeholders, the team plays a key role in driving continuous improvement and fostering a positive SHE culture. Why BAE Systems? - NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health (or equivalent qualification)
- Experience providing Safety, Health & Environmental support within a business environment
- Good understanding of hazard identification and risk management principles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience supporting incident investigations and SHE improvement activities
- Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced operational environment
