Full Job Description

We're looking for a Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor to join our Construction team based in London., As a Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our teams across construction sites. You'll provide expert guidance, carry out inspections and promote a positive safety culture, working closely with the Senior HS&W Manager to maintain the highest standards.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in providing specialist Health, Safety & Welfare advice for construction sites. Your day to day will include:

-Conducting regular audits, inspections and site visits to identify safe and unsafe working conditions, reporting findings and making recommendations using Kier software systems

-Advising on the practical implementation of CDM, Safe Systems of Work, Construction Phase Plans, Environmental Management Plans and wellbeing strategies

-Promoting and assisting in the delivery of the Kier Behavioural Safety Programme

-Compiling accident reports for reportable incidents and providing recommendations to prevent reoccurrence

-Maintaining Kier Group SHE policies and procedures as directed by the Senior HS&W Manager

You have a positive approach to health, safety and environmental matters, with ideally CMIOSH qualification or working towards accreditation

-You possess excellent communication skills and feel confident presenting in forums and meetings

-You're comfortable working independently and collaboratively within an established team

-You take a proactive approach to resolving issues and finding effective, practical solutions

-You're fully conversant with current IT applications and have an understanding of digitalisation, Disability Confident
