Full Job Description

As a SHE Advisor you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in providing specialist Health, Safety & Welfare advice for Construction Site,

Your day to day will include:

-Carry out regular audits, inspections and visits to identify safe and unsafe on-site working conditions and practices. Report on findings of such inspections and make recommendations to remedy any defects found using Kier software systems.

-Carry out SHE tasks that are required to maintain Kier Group SHE policies and procedures as directed by the SHE Manager.

-Promote and fully participate in the implementation of the Kier Behavioural Safety Programme; Think Safety Differently.

-Advise on the practical implementation of CDM, Safe Systems of Work, Construction Phase Plans, Environmental Management Plans and Wellbeing strategies.

-Compile accident reports for reportable accidents and provide recommendations to prevent reoccurrence. Send reports to the SHE Manager and Project Director/Manager and ensure recommendations are actioned in a timely manner.

-Conducting advisory look ahead meetings.

A positive approach to SHE and working life in general.

-Able to work autonomously and as part of an established team.

-Excellent verbal, written communication skills and be able to present in forums and/or meetings.

-A proactive approach to resolving issues, challenges, finding effective and practical solutions.

-Fully conversant with current IT applications and a digitalisation understanding., Disability Confident
