Full Job Description
Here at Kingston College, we are seeking a Sessional Lecturer to join our Early Years and Education section and assess and monitor learners studying Level 1 through to T-Level including delivery of EYFS, National Curriculum and beyond in license to practice qualifications.
The courses are predominantly coursework based; therefore we seek an innovative practitioner to design engaging coursework assignments that inspire learners. You'll lead the development of programmes within the section and act as the main point of contact for employers and students, providing feedback on progress as required.
We'd like our Sessional Lecturer to hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in Early Years and/or Education (this includes National Curriculum and/or Key Stage 1) and have industry background in a relevant area (specifically Early Years and National Curriculum). With energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education, you'll hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards), excellent teaching skills and experience of teaching on higher education courses.
You'll have the ability to support, motivate and empathise with young learners, including monitoring their progress, and have an awareness of academic quality standards. Receptive to new ideas and initiatives with a creative approach to problem solving, you'll be hardworking and flexible with high personal standards and expectations.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
Closing date for the return of completed applications is 27th June 2025.
There is an excellent pension scheme that receives a significant financial contribution from the employer (Teachers Pensions or Local Government Pension Scheme), subsidised sports facilities and professional development and training plus a salary sacrifice cycle to work scheme. The benefits package is pro-rated for part time staff.
