Location: Office base at County Hall North, Horsham or Bridge House, Worthing with a countywide serviceWe're looking for a Service Manager to join our Youth Justice Service Team.Accountable to the Head of Service for MASH, IFD, EDT, Youth Justice and Missing and Exploitation Service, this role will be the strategic and operational lead for youth justice. You will lead a group of Team Managers and staff, including those seconded from statutory partners, to provide statutory youth justice services across the county of West Sussex. You will be responsible for large-scale activity to meet defined national and local performance indicators and ensuring quality in practice.As a confident and ambitious individual, you will provide professional leadership, ensuring effective practices in situations of complexity, risk, uncertainty and challenge. You will also be required to drive the delivery of youth justice across the partnership in order to ensure the service is improving outcomes for and

meeting the needs of children, families, victims and communities.About YouTo be successful in this role you will have:

• Ability to deliver change and continually improve practice and preferencing in a supportive, positive way.
• Emotionally intelligent and able to apply effective leadership, people management and performance management skills with the ability to provide direction, leadership and support to individuals and teams.

• Sound partnership working skills including the successful co-ordination of
partners to delivery objectives.
• Effective research, evaluation, and interpretation skills to derive conclusions and plan over the short term to medium term. Ability to set timescales and objectives and review effectiveness of service delivery.
• Post graduate professional qualification in a relevant/relatable field, or the
equivalent level of significant experience demonstrating applied application of the above levels of knowledge in a relevant setting.
• Relevant chartered status of a professional body or equivalent high-levelexperience of involved practices. Expert relevant experience in the specialist area, including sound relevantoperational experience, with a significant number of years working in the Detailed practical knowledge of complex theories including relevant technical knowledge to formulate and develop policies, processes, and guidance.
• Significant experience in dealing with significant and complex issues and
