Full Job Description
We are seeking an ambitious and talented individual ready to take the next step in their career as an Operational Manager within the NHS., This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated leader to manage our busy Outpatient administrative services, driving high-quality, patient-centred care. As part of the senior leadership team, you will provide day-to-day operational management of the Centralised Outpatient Administration Teams, ensuring efficient delivery of services across multiple specialties at Royal Derby Hospital. The service includes approximately 132 WTE staff, with a budget of circa £2m, supporting around 750,000 outpatient appointments annually across all Clinical Divisions. You will be a supportive and visible leader, able to engage, motivate and empower teams, recognising success while maintaining clear accountability. With a proven track record of leadership, you will role model Trust values, inspire a shared purpose and drive service improvement and transformational change. This is a key role with significant organisational impact, requiring strong stakeholder management skills and clear communication. You will join at a time of change, supporting transformation of outpatient services, including the implementation of a new EPR system. Experience in change management will be essential., Brief overview of responsibilities:
- Co-ordinating the delivery of key performance management targets.
- Lead on specific areas of service development and transformation, supporting the General Manager (and wider team), ensuring proposals and solutions concerning key national and local initiatives are taken forward.
- The Service Manager is a key member of the Business Unit and is responsible for supporting the senior management team over the range of their responsibilities.
