Service Manager

As Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for the leadership, development, and day-to-day management of the residential childrens home. You will ensure that children receive outstanding care in a safe, nurturing environment, enabling them to make progress in all aspects of their lives. You will work closely with a highly supportive senior leadership team and play a key role in shaping the service's culture, achievements, and success. You will be expected to:

• Lead on the day-to-day operations of the childrens home
• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Childrens Home Regulations 2015
• Create a positive, child-centred, trauma-informed and therapeutic culture within the home
• Lead, develop, and support the staff team
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children
• Ensure high-quality care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies are in place and effectively implemented
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals
• Ensure positive outcomes for children across education, independence and wellbeing
• Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, achieving Good or Outstanding outcomes
• Support an effective team through recruitment, staff development, and team retention

With excellent transport links, including a local bus station, train station, and just a 10-minute walk from the town centre, The Lighthouse provides a supportive and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
