Full Job Description
The post holder will be expected to develop, manage and lead the efficient and effective delivery of the Be U North Yorkshire Assessment Service for children/young people on the autism assessment pathway. The post holder will also be required to support the development of other additional local ABL Health projects to facilitate the evolution of the BE U NY service and meeting the wider needs of the local community., As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and developing a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support to children, young people and adults, ensuring the service remains safe, effective and responsive. You will oversee the day-to-day operational management of the service, including allocating referrals and assessments, monitoring caseloads, leading team meetings, and supervising staff through regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and coaching. Working collaboratively with families, schools and partner agencies, you will build strong relationships, provide expert guidance, and ensure service users receive the highest standard of care and support. You will play a key role in recruitment, service development, quality assurance, safeguarding, risk management, performance monitoring and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with organisational policies, contractual requirements and regulatory standards. The role also involves managing
budgets, supporting audits, analysing service performance data, responding proactively to risks and complaints, sharing best practice with stakeholders, and contributing to the successful implementation of new projects and service initiatives, while promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous learning.
