Full Job Description

The national government Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) is enabling a significant programme of crisis support to residents, and projects to build resilience for individuals and communities across Derbyshire. This is being led by the Public Health department and delivered across a broad partnership of external partners and internal teams. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Service Development Officers to support the delivery and ongoing development of this important programme. This is an exciting opportunity to shape services that provide support to residents facing financial crisis while developing innovative approaches that promote financial wellbeing and community resilience, and reduce health inequalities, across Derbyshire. The post holder will:

  • Support the delivery and development of the CRF programme to ensure that communities and vulnerable groups have access to information, services, and support that improve health and wellbeing.
  • Develop and sustain effective relationships with internal and external partners to deliver projects associated with CRF;
  • Engage with residents and stakeholders to gather evidence and insight; and undertake evaluation to understand the impact of the programme and ensure that support is as effective as possible;
  • Support the monitoring and recording of data to ensure that required Management Information returns are submitted within deadline,
  • Line manage a Compliance and Monitoring Officer
  • Provide public health expertise and insight relating to financial wellbeing, wider determinants of health, and community resilience.
  • Produce reports, present findings, and share learning with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to support evidence-based decision making.

    We are seeking someone with experience of partnership working and programme delivery, together with strong communication skills. You will have a good understanding of the wider determinants of health and approaches to reducing health inequalities.
