Full Job Description

Are you highly organised, financially minded and looking for an opportunity to make a real difference to your city? We are seeking a motivated Service Delivery Officer to join our Transport Service and play a vital role in supporting the delivery of exciting transport programmes and infrastructure projects. This role will support the management of transport finances, including grant funding, external funding streams, budget monitoring, financial transactions and financial reporting. Working closely with project managers, finance colleagues and external funding bodies, you will help ensure funding is accurately recorded, monitored and reported in line with Council procedures and funding requirements. The role also involves coordinating information from multiple stakeholders and maintaining strong records management practices. We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving. You will enjoy working with financial information, analysing data and identifying opportunities to improve processes and service delivery. In return, you will gain valuable experience supporting high-profile transport initiatives and play a key role in delivering projects that have a lasting impact on local communities. If you are looking for a career where you can develop your skills, work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to projects that make a difference, we would love to hear from you.

  • Experience of producing, analysing and interpreting data reports using Microsoft Excel or similar systems to support decision making.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work accurately to deadlines.
  • Experience of working with grant funding, project finances, procurement processes or other regulated financial procedures.
