Travel: You will be required to travel between two close sites in North Bristol and further travel may be needed on an ad-hoc basis with clients., Sitting within our IT department and partnering with our Secure Operations department, you'll first build, recruit and then subsequently lead and manage the Secure Operations IT Support team to ensure that that the IT services meet the needs of the Secure Operations Team, whilst closely mirroring the existing services within General Operations.
You'll workhand in hand with our IT Service Delivery Manager and the IT Operations Manager outside of the secure operations team to ensure that consistently high standards are maintained.
Specifically, you'll -
o Build, recruit, lead and motivate the new IT Secure Operations delivery team.
o Design, implement and continuously improve the Secure Operations IT service support and delivery processes; ensuring that these are aligned with both ITIL best practises and existing IT Operations procedures.
o Problem Management through trend analysis and prevention
o Design and create detailed KPI reporting to support IT SLT.
o Manage the IT Secure Operations run budget.
o Take ownership of Incident, Request and Change management process within Secure Operations IT and act as a point of escalation.
o Chair the Change Advisory Board when required.
o Create standard operating procedures for key service delivery functions.
o Support the technical development and delivery of internal secure working environments.
o Take responsibility for the service transition and onboarding of all new services within the Secure IT environment.
o Maintain the required levels of Security Clearance, as defined by the scope of the role., o Be eligible and willing to undertake a high level of government security clearance. No existing clearance required.

o Proven experience of working in a Service Delivery Manager (or similar) role with 3 years' minimum experience over your career.
o Well-rounded IT knowledge from career running up to Service Delivery Management experience.
o Strong verbal/written communication skills and listening skills. Ability to act as a bridge between business, technical, and security stakeholders.
o Demonstrable experience of managing and building teams.
o ITIL v4/v5 foundation qualification
o Familiarity with implementing best practices across Microsoft environments.
o Awareness of common regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus).
o Experience of working in Security Controlled Environment.
o Awareness of telephony systems
o Awareness of various software licensing models
o Strong demonstrable vendor management skills
