Full Job Description

Emmaus Catholic MAC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

All applicants must be able to provide documentation to prove their right to work in the UK.

Effective from September 2022, KCSIE states as part of the shortlisting process school and colleges should consider carrying out on-line searches, as part of the due diligence on shortlisted candidates. This is to determine suitability to work with children and keep them safe. All shortlisted candidates are now subject to an on-line check and if there is anything concerning, then the shortlisted candidate will be asked to comment on it either prior to or during the interview.

The Directors of Emmaus Catholic Multi Academy Company, together with the Archdiocese of Birmingham, wish to appoint a dynamic, ambitious and suitably qualified practising Catholic to the post of Principal at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Droitwich.

Our MAC mission of 'Forming Christ-centred pilgrims of hope with kind hearts, questioning minds, a thirst for knowledge and a hunger for justice' shapes all we do.

St Joseph's, Droitwich is a popular, nurturing and outward looking school with happy, motivated and well-behaved children. We are a one-form entry primary school at the heart of our local community where everyone at St Joseph's is committed to providing the best possible education and care to our young people to enable them to maximise their God-given talents and flourish. We have an excellent staff team, a supportive and knowledgeable Local Governing Body and strong links with our local parish.

We are looking for an exceptional and inspiring leader with a secure understanding of the nature of Catholic education, the knowledge of what constitutes quality in educational provision, the characteristics of effective schools and standards for raising the achievement of all pupils as well as a strong track record in raising standards at pace.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the leadership team of our Multi Academy Company in which there is a shared vision and commitment to working together to raise standard in all our schools. Strong relationships provide positive support for continuous professional development, and Directors are keen to appoint and promote effective and successful leaders to secure and sustain the future of our schools and Catholic education.
