Full Job Description

The role requires an extensive knowledge and experience of WindowsServer operating systems, Microsoft Hyper-V/Azure/365, server andstorage hardware in an enterprise environment. A good workingunderstanding of networking technologies is also required. This role requires knowledge of the following technologies and/orskills:

  • o Virtualized environments such as Microsoft Hyper-Vo Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, DFS GPO's etc...o Office 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online)o Mail & Web filtering toolso Windows Server & Exchangeo VPN applications such as Microsoft Direct Access or Always onVPNo Remote Desktop Serviceso Backup and recovery tools such as Microsoft DPMo Antivirus - Sophos, Windows Defendero Microsoft SQL Servero Microsoft SCCM
  • The post holder, alongside the other SE's, will be responsible for theinstallation and maintenance of the server estate, to include coordinatingany installs, moves, changes, break/fix and decommissioning of physicalassets. The post holder will also be responsible to the Server Specialist, for theefficient and effective support of Information Technology and Computerised systems and services throughout the Trust, to support first class patient care.,
  • Install, maintain, and decommission physical and virtual server assets.
  • Coordinate server-related changes, break/fix tasks, and upgrades.
  • Provide technical support across the Trust's IT systems and services.
  • Work collaboratively with other SEs and report to the Server Specialist.
  • Contribute to the Trust's Target Operating Model (TOM), supporting day-to-day services, small improvements, and larger digital projects.
