Sensory Occupational Therapist

We are looking to recruit an experienced band 7 Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist, to work as a member of our established Adolescent Outreach Team. The team are really fortunate that we have an experienced full multi disciplinary representation, and high levels of retention of staff. The MDT are skilled and highly committed to supporting the wider network, parents and carers to support young people to remain at home, and if required to come to hospital facilitate a safe discharge and reduce length of stay.

The post-holder will work within AOT as a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist providing Care Coordination, Assessment, Intervention, and treatment of an agreed caseload of AOT clients, and offer consultation, and specialist supervisions to other Occupational Therapists in the service line, the network and referrers, and will have a primary practitioner role servicing the Occupational Therapy function in AOT.

The post-holder must be committed to effective team working and to the coherent delivery of the care this will include individual, family, group work and telephone support.

The team are always looking to develop the service to meet the needs of the young people and their parents/carers, this role would be at the forefront of this.

The team has strong working relationships with our local inpatient service (Aquarius), SLP inpatient units (TE2 and BAU), Tier 3 community CAMHS, CAMHS Emergency Care Team (CECS), CAMHS Crisis Line and CAMHS Bed Management., This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced band 7 Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to join AOT.
