Full Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Co-ordinator to provide a high-quality Domestic and Catering service to patients, staff and visitors, ensuring a clean, safe and hygienic environment across patient and non-patient areas., We are looking for someone who can provide effective direction, guidance and support to teams and respond to service needs as they arise. The post holder will also be expected to continuously improve service productivity and quality while working in line with health, safety, security, infection control, Company and Trust policies and procedures.,

  • Supervise, guide and support staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food service within designated areas.
  • Organise and allocate staff to ensure cleaning, catering and hygiene standards are delivered in line with agreed schedules and specifications.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records on company systems, including sickness, training, quality monitoring and staff performance.
  • Liaise with staff through regular discussions and team meetings, including performance reviews, job chats, return-to-work discussions and investigations.
  • Effectively supervise, train, motivate and discipline staff, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and compliance with relevant policies and training plans.
  • Order, control, monitor and issue uniforms, equipment, keys, materials and supplies required for cleaning and food services.
  • Oversee the production and delivery of high-quality, safe food services to patients, including awareness of dietary needs.
  • Manage the safe storage, maintenance and availability of stock and supplies within the designated area.

    Strong supervisory and people-management skills, with the ability to guide, motivate and support staff.
  • Good organisational and planning skills to allocate staff and manage workloads effectively.
  • Knowledge of cleaning, catering and hygiene standards within healthcare or similar environments.
  • Understanding of health, safety, security and infection control procedures.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and use company systems for monitoring performance, training and sickness.
  • Effective communication skills for team meetings, performance discussions and investigations.
  • Experience of training staff and supporting ongoing development.
  • Ability to manage stock, supplies, equipment and uniforms efficiently.
  • Awareness of food safety and patient dietary requirements.
