Full Job Description
The core purpose of the Senior Website Performance Manager is to champion a fast, scalable, digital ecosystem that drives online revenue and customer engagement across Kaplan's websites by offering a superior user experience. Leading the team as a centre of excellence for website performance and optimisation, this role is key to setting and implementing best practices and ensures that all online activities are prioritised and aligned with business goals. This pivotal role serves as the key liaison with our IT team, responsible for aligning the Digital, UX, and IT teams. The core objective is to ensure these teams collaborate efficiently, continuously improving the speed of delivery and release for digital enhancements and products.
This role would suit a commercially focused digital or ecommerce professional with experience owning web platforms or digital journeys, and a strong ability to drive performance whilst aligning stakeholders around clear priorities and outcomes. Core Competencies & Experience
- Commercial Acumen & Impact: Proven success in driving and influencing online revenue, conversion, and overall commercial performance. Ability to identify, prioritise, and deliver measurable commercial impact through a strong understanding of conversion, revenue drivers, and customer journeys.
- Data-Driven Optimisation: A data-driven mindset with deep experience in Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), experimentation, and performance optimisation. Must be able to interpret insights accurately and translate them into effective actions.
- Strategy & Execution: Expertise in defining comprehensive digital product strategies and translating them into clear, actionable roadmaps. Requires the ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with the practicalities of delivery alignment.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Strong people management skills, including experience in leading, motivating, and developing a team. Proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, UX, IT, Delivery).
- Communication & Influence: Excellent and confident stakeholder management and communication skills. Must have a natural ability to build relationships, influence decision-making, and challenge both self and team to continually drive performance and improvement.
- Product Principles: Strong foundational understanding of digital product management principles.
