Salary/Grade: NSP1-9 with Responsibility Allowance C - £5,444 - £8,854 Responsible to: Assistant Principal - Engagement and Achievement We are seeking an enthusiastic and strategic Senior Tutor Manager to join our dynamic pastoral team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of specialist Senior Tutors in delivering a high-quality, consistent and student-centred tutorial provision that supports strong retention, achievement, and personal development across the College. What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading and developing a team of Senior Tutors to deliver consistent, effective pastoral care.
- Shaping the tutorial curriculum to reflect current issues and support student progression.
- Monitoring student behaviour, attendance, retention, and achievement - and implementing interventions where needed.
- Acting as a key member of the College's Safeguarding Team, ensuring student welfare remains a top priority.
- Collaborating with curriculum leaders, external agencies, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
- Driving continuous improvement in tutorial provision through robust quality assurance measures.
- Supporting key events, such as parent evenings, enrolment, and student induction. What We're Looking For:
- Experience of leading pastoral or tutorial teams in a further education or school setting.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and a commitment to student wellbeing.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage change.
- A proactive approach to solving problems, supporting students at risk, and driving engagement.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and the development of an inclusive college culture.
