Full Job Description
- Act as scrub practitioner for general and orthopaedic surgical procedures.
- Lead and mentor junior members of the team, deputising for the Lead Theatre Practitioner when necessary.
- Communicating effectively with other departments e.g. Sterile Services, Wards, and Imaging department to ensure efficient patient care.
- Preparing operating and anaesthetic rooms for surgery as required. To include equipment and supplies required for specific procedures, ensuring appropriate use of resources and minimal waste.
- Assessing patient care requirements, implementing care and evaluating outcomes.

Are you someone who enjoys sharing your knowledge and helping others grow? As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will play an important role within our multi-disciplinary theatre team. Alongside maintaining excellent scrub practice, you will help support and mentor junior colleagues, contribute to a positive team culture, and ensure the highest standards of patient safety and clinical care within the theatre department. This opportunity is best suited to a practitioner with proven scrub experience, who is confident working within the scrub role and is passionate about developing both their own skills and those of the team around them.
