Extension anticipated to March 2029, subject to Phase 2 business case approval, We are seeking an experienced Technical Programme Manager to play a key role in delivering Phase 1 of the Llantrisant Health Park (LHP) Programme, a major regional transformation initiative for South East Wales. Phase 1 will deliver a Community Diagnostic Hub (CDH), supporting high-volume diagnostic services across the region. The role is responsible for managing the digital elements of the programme, working closely with clinical, estates, digital, and regional partners to ensure safe, timely and assured delivery. You will provide strong programme leadership, overseeing inter-dependencies across digital systems, infrastructure, clinical technology and data, ensuring alignment with approved business cases, national standards and NHS Wales digital architecture. The role includes managing delivery plans, risks, issues and assurance, and supporting readiness for future phases of the LHP programme. This is an ideal opportunity for a programme manager with experience of complex healthcare, digital, infrastructure or capital programmes, who enjoys working across organisational boundaries and contributing to transformational change at scale., The Technical Programme Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery of the technical and digital elements of Phase 1 of the LHP Programme, ensuring the successful implementation of the Community Diagnostic Hub. Key duties include:
- Providing day-to-day programme management for complex technical workstreams, ensuring delivery is aligned to agreed business cases, timescales, budgets and quality standards.
- Coordinating activity across digital, IM&T, estates, clinical technology, data and infrastructure teams, managing inter-dependencies and resolving delivery issues.
- Developing and maintaining robust programme plans, risk and issue logs, assurance reporting and governance documentation.
- Supporting procurement, mobilisation and implementation of digital and technical solutions, ensuring compliance with NHS Wales standards, cyber security requirements and information governance.
- Working closely with clinical, operational and regional partners to support operational readiness, pathway enablement and safe go-live.
- Providing clear progress updates and assurance to programme boards and senior stakeholders.
- Ensuring decisions made during Phase 1 support scalability and integration for future phases of the LHP programme.
The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and experience of delivering complex programmes in a healthcare, digital or infrastructure environment.
