It is an exciting opportunity to work on our customer facing apps and website. you will play a crucial role in delivering high priority objectives involving the work of multiple product teams, spanning across pillars, including areas outside of Product & Tech. You will be responsible for the programme management, governance and reporting of work, including collating progress measures.These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Work with a wide variety of business stakeholders to understand, plan and deliver programme requirements against agreed milestones, managing expectations when circumstances change
- Lead the identification and management of relevant dependencies, risks and challenges, proactively resolving issues where possible
- Collaborate with TPMs, initiative owners and teams to drive changes through the programme/project lifecycle and software delivery lifecycle (SDLC)
- Work with programme sponsors to ensure delivery aligns with business priorities and meets strategic goals
- Assess programme performance, and author reports for improvement suggestions from different areas of the business
- Take large and complex programmes and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications and deliver them in a successful and timely manner.
- Provide guidance on Agile and programme management best practice to help teams achieve greater maturity in their delivery
- Knowledge sharing and contributing to the high performing Technical programme management team What will you bring to the table?
- Demonstrates depth of understanding in the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC)
- Deep knowledge of programme management best practice e.g. RAID logs, programme plans, dependency management.
- Experience in agile and lean methodologies/frameworks in planning at scale
- Strong facilitation skills - able to guide a group discussion with a neutral stance to enable teams to better communicate, engage and collaborate more effectively
- Anticipate problems and bottlenecks, provide escalation management and making trade offs, balancing business needs versus technical constraints
- Solve complex problems independently, proposing innovative solutions to problems already encountered and solved
- Collaborative, open, and inclusive team player
- Effective influencing and communication skills
- Comfortable with flexibility, changing priorities, and dealing with ambiguity.
