Senior Support Worker - Supported Living

We are currently looking for a courteous, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Senior Support Worker to join our company based in Surrey for our Brand-New Supported Living Service. As a Senior Support Worker you will be responsible for supporting individuals in their own flat which are 8 flats in one location in Camberley. We are looking for someone with experience in supporting people that need positive behaviour support and encouragement in their day to day lives, however we have a full training package for any new staff so if you are looking to give something back to people that need support this role could be for you., A Senior Support Worker will be required to assist with all activities of daily living and support the residents to participate in a range of activities within the home and community. We use a person-centred approach focusing on supporting people to make their own choices, follow their own interests and gain independence. We empower people to choose how they want to live their life., o To support the Home Manager in ensuring the smooth running, organisation and management of the home.
o Lead, motivate, and direct a team of support workers to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
o Develop and oversee individualised care plans, ensuring they are effectively implemented and reviewed.
o Provide hands-on support to individuals with complex behaviours, acting as a role model for best practices.
o Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing regular supervision, training, and development opportunities.
o Ensure compliance with all organisational policies and regulatory standards.
o Liaise with families, other Mysa care and external professionals to coordinate care and promote well-being.
o Identify and address risks, promoting a safe and supportive environment for staff and individuals.
o Manage rotas, resources, and documentation to ensure smooth service delivery., o Pension.
o Casual dress, no uniform.
o Free DBS.
o Comprehensive training and development.
o EAP for mental health and personal support advice.

NVQ Level 3 in health and social care or willing to work towards

Be well-organised, Self-Motivated and delegating work appropriately.

Proven ability to lead and supervise others.

An understanding of Support planning, Risk assessing and the Mental Capacity Act (DOLs)

Be experienced in or confident to undertake training on administering medication.

A full driving licence is preferred, and willing to use Business insurance or holds Business insurance and happy to use own vehicle to support Service users

Above all, have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling.

This role includes on-call responsibilities and a possibility of up to 4 sleep-in shifts per month. Sleep-in shifts are paid at a rate of £35 per sleep., o Free parking
