Could you support them to make the most of their abilities and be as independent as possible? Then you could be part of our dynamic speech and language therapy service. Primarily based on the stroke wards at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford), and with supervision from specialist speech and language therapists, you will work in partnership with people with acquired disorders of communication and swallowing to reduce the impact of these difficulties on well-being and enhance their ability to participate in daily life. You will also provide administrative support to the speech and language therapy team if required, and assist with the provision of training You will need to be flexible in your approach and able to use constructive feedback to develop your skills. Its also a role that really develops your people skills and allows you to support individuals as people, not just patients.
