Senior Support Worker
Job DescriptionAt Bright Futures, we champion the potential of every person with autism and a learning disability, believing wholeheartedly in their ability to thrive and lead the most fulfilling lives. Were looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team in Prescot, Liverpool.
Our home at Bardley Crescent supports five adults in a detached property in Knowsley. Each of the people we support have individual interests, needs and care plans. From pizza parties and buffet tea nights to trips out to the beach or the bowling alley, each day will give you new opportunities to motivate the people we support to reach their personal outcomes and live fulfilling lives.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will be leading the team whilst you are on shift, acting as a role model to deliver the highest standards of care. You will develop strong relationships with the team and the people we support to ensure the best possible outcomes.
You will get to know each individual, find out their interests, and support them to achieve the small and big steps in reaching their goals and living the life they choose. Each day will be completely different, but you will be there to guide them through all of life's milestones and challenges.
What were looking for
- Level 2 Adult Care Worker Qualification or equivalent is desirable.
- Previous experience in a care role Supporting Children/Adults with Learning difficulties/Autism and looking to advance in your chosen career.
- Be committed to continuous improvement of the home and the team.
- A passion for person-centred care.
- Have a positive and proactive mindset.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence is preferred.
