Senior Substance Misuse Nurse

As a Substance Misuse Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning
• Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing model
• Be able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.
• Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers. You will work with individuals, on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and information
• Support in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions. You will occasionally be required to support dispensing
• Have an understanding and commitment to recovery and a person centred approach.

  RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake.
• Experience of working with opiate dependant patients.
• Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge.

  HMP Fosse Way is a male prison holding a capacity of 1930 We are looking for someone who has a background in Mental Health and Primary Care Nurse and experience in substance misuse Hours:
• Monday - Sunday service - 37.5 hours per week
• 7am - 8pm
• 1 weekend in 4
• no nights.
• 4 week rolling rota, This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary between £43,609 - £49,175 per annum - depending on experience.
