Full Job Description
The Senior Strategy Lead is a newly established role responsible for providing rigorous, high-quality strategic analysis and insight to support and challenge the organisation's development and implementation of strategy. The post holder will sit within the Transformation team and operate with substantial analytical autonomy, supporting the team in shaping strategic options, evidence, tracking progress, and recommendations that inform decision-making at trust, NWL Acute Provider Group, and system level., Strategic analysis and problem-solving: Lead complex analytical and research activity to support strategic decision-making, working with a high degree of independence and pace, often across ill-defined or contested problem areas. Strategic narrative and insight: Synthesise complex qualitative and quantitative information into clear, compelling, data-led narratives that support decision-making at senior level. Stakeholder engagement and influence: Communicate with clarity and authority across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, co-designing analysis, influencing priorities and outcomes through effective presentation, dialogue and facilitating engagement. Strategic capability building: Build organisational strategic capability by coaching and supporting colleagues in the effective use of strategic frameworks, analysis tools, and approaches. Strategy implementation: Coordinate the governance and systems underpinning the effective implementation of strategy, including analysis of strategy KPIs, reporting progress on strategic initiatives, leading progress review process of enabling strategies, and project managing trust-wide priority strategic initiatives.
The role requires structured, hypothesis-led problem solving, strong analytical judgement, programme management skills, and the ability to translate complex evidence into clear, decision-focused insight for senior clinical, managerial, and public audiences.
