Role Overview

As a Senior Staff Nurse at our hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.

• Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient's needs


• Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care


• Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students


• Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training

The Nuffield Health Derby Hospital is a modern, purpose-built hospital with 38 en-suite beds, three operating theatres, and a comprehensive range of outpatient services. The Radiology department is a small but busy department covering general radiographic procedures, theatre, ultrasound, MRI and CT. Set in beautiful grounds, we're about 3 miles from the city centre, within easy reach of all major roads and bus routes.
