Full Job Description

The successful candidate would take charge in the busy Paediatric Emergency Department on a shift working long days and nights.

As a registered children's nurse, the post holder will provide leadership in the delivery of care to children, young people and their families in the emergency department setting. The post holder will be accountable and responsible for providing a high standard of child and family focused care. They will need to be able to carry out care without direct supervision as part of the Emergency Department team and supervise juniors and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team contributing towards the effective running of the department., 1. Improving representation at senior levels of staff with disabilities, from black, Asian, and ethnic minorities background, identify as LGBTQ+ and women, through improved recruitment and leadership development
2. Widening access (anchor institution) and employability
3. Improving the experience of staff with disability
4. Improving the EDI literacy and confidence of trust staff through training and development
5. Making equalities mainstream

Are you a registered childrens nurse with experience working in a paediatric emergency department?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated individual with ED experience to enhance their skills as a band 6 at LGT. You will have experience in triage, plaster of paris, Venepuncture and Cannulation, EPLS/APLS, ED/HDU course or equivalent.
