Senior Staff Nurse - Children's Emergency Department

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual with excellent clinical skills and ED experience to enhance their skills as a band 6 in ED., The successful candidate would take charge in the busy ED on a shift by shift basis and also be expected to work streaming/TW shifts to enhance the skill mix at triage.

As a Band 6 nurse you will be responsible for the day to day flow of the department by ensuring the standards of care are met for children and their family / carers whilst in the emergency department, including delegation and deployment of the nursing team in the absence of a band 7., 1. Improving representation at senior levels of staff with disabilities, from black, Asian, and ethnic minorities background, identify as LGBTQ+ and women, through improved recruitment and leadership development
2. Widening access (anchor institution) and employability
3. Improving the experience of staff with disability
4. Improving the EDI literacy and confidence of trust staff through training and development
5. Making equalities mainstream
