Full Job Description

Opportunity has arisen to join our Adult Speech and Language Therapy team for 12 months. You will provide inpatients services for patients with communication disorders and dysphagia across at our two hospital sites at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw Hospital. You will work on a team that is supportive and dedicated. We provide:

  • Specialist Clinics: SLT-led nasendoscopy, FEES, and Videofluoroscopy

  • Close links with Stroke Team, ENT, Radiology, Nutrition & Dietetics and other key services.

  • Continuous professional development with our CPD programme and regular supervision sessions, Assess, treat, and manage SLT inpatients across a variety of wards, including ED if requested, AMU, Critical Care as required, Frailty, ENT, Surgical, Cardiology, Orthopaedic and Respiratory on two sites
  • Support the Clinical Team Lead with operational management of the Adult SLT inpatient service
  • Deliver training and education to the wider MDT and provide clinical education to SLT students as necessary
  • Contribute to service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives as required
