Full Job Description
Provide specialist SLT assessment and treatment for clients with complex neurological needs.Devise and implement evidence-led therapy programmes at a specialist level, emphasising multidisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal outcomes.Independently plan and lead communication therapy groups.Maintain high standards of clinical care in line with national guidance.Undertake key worker duties, ensuring cohesive goal-setting, therapy coordination, and discharge planning.Formally supervise less experienced SLTs and assistants in line with ACG policy.Take an active role in the induction and training of other members of the interdisciplinary team (IDT).Ensure all relevant codes of practice, regulations, and HCPC registration requirements are upheld.Contribute to the implementation and review of SLT policy and service development initiatives.
HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist.Previous experience in a neurorehabilitation setting.Specialist-level dysphagia competency according to the RCSLT framework.Formal supervision/line management experience.Strong communication, leadership, and team-working skills.Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
