Senior Specialist Pharmacist (AMS and General Medicine)

The postholder will be the Pharmacy lead for antimicrobial stewardship across the campus, participating in multidisciplinary AMS ward rounds, ensuring follow up of actions and recommendations and reporting data. Working closely with the consultant microbiologists and infection control team they will help to develop a culture that reduces hospital acquired infection (HAIs), supporting prudent use of antimicrobials, investigating incidents, aiding implementation of any new antimicrobial initiatives and leading on writing and review of antimicrobial policies via Micro guide. They will provide a clinical service to our specialist medical wards including liver, transplant, critical care, oncology, cardiac and gastro wards and support the training of junior pharmacists in these areas.
