Full Job Description
You'll join a specialist Engineering Systems competency centre, supporting a major digital engineering transformation across BAE Systems. Working with Siemens Unified tools and modern system integration technologies, you'll help develop, configure and enhance applications that underpin next-generation engineering capability. You will contribute to data migration, testing and deployment activities while supporting development, test and production environments. Collaborating with internal teams and external partners such as Siemens, you'll play a practical role in shaping innovative solutions, resolving defects and improving system performance. This role offers exposure to modern digital engineering tools, opportunities to work across sites and programmes, and considerable development potential within a growing and forward-looking technical team. Core duties:
- Configuring and supporting Siemens Teamcenter and Unified tools, enabling effective system integration and application performance
- Overseeing data migration, system updates and deployments across development, test and production environments
- Supporting testing activities, resolving defects and ensuring systems meet business and technical requirements
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation, improving knowledge sharing and system understanding across teams
- Collaborating with vendors and stakeholders, contributing to design sessions and providing timely technical support Essential Skills:
- Considerable experience working with Siemens Teamcenter Unified, supporting engineering and manufacturing toolset environments
- Demonstratable ability supporting systems within Windows or Unix/Linux environments, ensuring stability and performance
- Experience installing and configuring application servers such as Apache HTTP Server or Tomcat
- Knowledge of database management, including Microsoft SQL Server and data modelling tools such as BMIDE
- Understanding of software configuration management practices, including version control tools such as Git The Engineering Systems Competency Centre Team: You'll be part of the Engineering Systems competency centre, driving digital engineering transformation across BAE Systems Air.
