An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Senior Sister/Charge Nurse band 7 ED nurse to undertake a 12 month secondment. You will enjoy working with supportive co-workers, providing an efficient and caring service to our patients.

We are looking for dynamic, motivated, clinically strong candidates with experience in Emergency Medicine and with an appetite for innovation for change and service improvement. You will be expected to function effectively in a fast paced and constantly changing environment without compromising essential standards of care and professionalism.

We are fortunate to work in a purpose built unit in the heart of a new hospital and enjoy delivering care in this outstanding facility.

North Bristol Trust is a large teaching hospital and is at the forefront of academic and nursing excellence. The ED is one of the busiest in the South West. As a Major Trauma Centre (MTC) and a Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) the ED has a 6 bedded resuscitation area with a nursing ratio of 2:1, a majors area with 14 cubicles and a ratio of 1:3, an ambulatory/observation unit and a dedicated minor injuries facility, including a unit for children, which is open 24 hours a day.
