Full Job Description

  • Support the Lead Service Designer and Project Director in client project delivery
  • Assist delivery colleagues in swiftly addressing project issues
  • Communicate the value of service design and user-centered approaches confidently
  • Support business development activities, including pitch presentations
  • Adapt to constructive feedback and manage difficult conversations effectively
  • Actively contribute to Community of Practice activities, defining best practices
  • Stay informed on industry trends and share knowledge with team members
  • Line manage other designers and address emerging issues promptly
  • Adapt design approaches to fit client organizational cultures and readiness for change
  • Foster collaboration and continuous improvement across teams at TPXimpact
  • Maintain and update skills to stay current with the field of expertise

    Professional knowledge and experience in user-centered design methodologies
  • Ability to partner with clients to build and grow UCD capabilities
  • Experience navigating complexities within public services or regulated industries
  • Expertise in identifying opportunities for service innovation and inclusive design
  • Skills in leading and testing prototypes, including participant recruitment
  • Ability to conduct service audits and recommend improvements
  • Strong storytelling skills to communicate strategic thinking to stakeholders
  • Knowledge in business models, operating models, and organizational structures
  • Experience mentoring and leading other designers
  • Familiarity with agency or consulting environments
  • Background in Central Government projects following GDS service standards
  • Technical skills in mapping system complexities and articulating service propositions
  • Ability to translate ideas into high-fidelity designs based on data insights
  • Experience in co-design approaches to engage users and stakeholders
  • Capable of creating visual artifacts for communicating ideas and services
  • Knowledge of testing end-to-end services and maintaining user-centered design
