Interventions Digital Assets (MIDA), focuses on tackling the most serious criminal harmsimpactingthe UK payments and digital assets sectors. We work at the intersection of intelligence, supervision,investigationsand law enforcement partnerships, using the FCA's regulatory tools to reduce harm and address criminal activity.It's an exciting time to join us. As the crypto and payments landscape continues to evolve,we'reexpanding our capability toidentifyemerging threats, build on our intelligence-led approach, and deliver more impactful interventions across the system. To help us do that, we're recruiting two Senior Associates to join the team. We're looking for people who are passionate about tackling harm, curious about how criminal threats evolve, and willing to think creatively about how the FCA can identify and disrupt them. The two posts have different security-clearance requirements: one requires Developed Vetting (DV) and the other Security Clearance (SC). Candidates must
hold, or be willing and eligible to obtain, the clearancerequiredfor the relevant post.Role responsibilitiesLead a portfolio of complex, high-impact cases, developing and delivering strategies to reduce serious criminal harm through supervisory,regulatoryand law-enforcement interventions, including, whereappropriate, pioneering novel and precedent-setting approaches.Use intelligence,dataand regulatory experience toidentifyemerging risks early, support innovative approaches to stop criminal activity and deliver meaningful outcomes across the financial systemBuild effective partnerships across the FCA, government and law enforcement agencies, contributing to significant investigations and developingexpertisein financial crime,paymentsand digital assets regulationYou will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping to prevent serious harm to UK consumers and society. You will work in a fast-paced and high-profile sector, build relationships across the FCA, government and law
enforcement, and help shape how intelligence and data are translated into real-world outcomes.SkillsrequiredMinimum:For one role, hold, or be willing and eligible to obtain, Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. For the second role, hold, or be willing and eligible to obtain, Security Clearance (SC)Experience contributing to complex regulatory, intelligence or investigative work, using sound judgement and initiative to deliver effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.Experience of turning intelligence, insight or emerging-risk information into practical strategies, informeddecisionsand tangible outcomes through collaboration.Essential: Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and professionally, both in writing and verballyDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced and evolving environmentWell-developed relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate and work
