Full Job Description
- Manage bookings, rebooking, cancellations and waiting lists
- Handle deposits and payments
- Manage phone, WhatsApp and email enquiries
- Use booking and salon management systems
- Help manage the diary and fill last-minute availability
- Encourage appropriate rebooking, upgrades, add-ons and retail
- Prepare and serve coffees, teas and refreshments
- Support the team during busy periods
- Help maintain excellent reception and salon standards
- Assist with stock, supplies and daily organisation
- Handle client concerns professionally
- Take ownership of day-to-day issues and escalate when needed This is a hands-on senior reception role, not a basic receptionist position.
- Strong customer service or hospitality experience
- Confident using booking, reservation, POS, CRM or similar systems
- Highly organised and reliable
- Warm and confident with clients
- Proactive and comfortable taking responsibility
- Calm under pressure
- Commercially aware
- Minimum 2 years' relevant customer-facing experience Beauty experience is not essential., English: Fluent - REQUIRED If you are not fluent in Portuguese, please do not apply. Right to work in the UK required.
Fluent Portuguese is mandatory for this position. Applicants who do not speak Portuguese fluently will not be considered. Fluent English is also required. We are an established boutique beauty salon in Clapham looking for an experienced Senior Salon Receptionist to take ownership of our front-of-house experience and help the salon run smoothly throughout the day. Previous beauty salon experience is not required. We are very interested in candidates coming from restaurants, cafés, hotels, hospitality, private clinics, reception, customer service or other busy client-facing environments. If you are confident with customers, comfortable using booking/POS systems, organised, proactive and used to working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.,
£15.50/hour target earnings + regular shared team tips Target earnings are based on a £33,000 annual base salary plus a performance bonus linked to clear monthly and quarterly targets. Performance targets include client experience, rebooking and retention, commercial performance, organisation, reliability and salon standards., Tuesday-Friday: 9:30am-7:15pm Saturday: 9:30am-5:15pm Sunday and Monday off. 44.25 paid hours per week.
