Are you a seasoned Health and Safety professional with a passion for making a difference? Do you thrive in dynamic environments? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Join Rochdale Council as one of our Senior Safety Advisers within the Corporate Health & Safety Team, where you will play a pivotal role in helping us maintain a safe and compliant environment for all. You will provide expert consultancy advice, guidance, and support on health and safety standards and practices. As a Senior Safety Adviser, you will:

  • Provide advice and support on health and safety matters across the Council.
  • Support the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Manage accident and incident data, conduct investigations and produce reports.
  • Design and deliver health and safety training and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Monitor compliance through audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Represent the Council at external and internal meetings, presenting reports and professional advice.

    This is a 27 hours per week position, days open for discussion and the salary is £40,777 to £47,181 pro-rata per annum.
