Senior Rotational Physiotherapist - Neurosciences

Our trust wide nine month specialist Neurosciences rotation which includes stroke, neurology/neurosurgery, neuro-trauma, inpatient neuro-rehabilitation and community neuro rehabilitation currently has a vacancy for a permanent position plus potential fixed term opportunities for dynamic and motivated band 6 physiotherapists. Our physiotherapists are an integral part of the multi-disciplinary teams across specialist medicine and neurosciences. As a successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to provide high quality physiotherapy to patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme whilst growing your specialist experience and leadership skills in a welcoming and supportive environment. Each specialty has support of both band 7 & 8 Clinical therapists to support your clinical and professional development in addition to your peer group with regular peer support meetings and buddy system to support your transition into the trust. We actively support CPD through an established performance development review (PDR) system, in-service training and external courses. There are also opportunities to undertake formal postgraduate study.,

• To provide high quality physiotherapy management to patients at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
• To provide a high standard of physiotherapy to patients within Stroke or other medical specialties within the trust, which would include acute rehabilitation.
• To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.
• The job holder is required to work at weekends covering stroke or respiratory as part of their contracted hours of work, (specific rota details are held locally within departments).
• The job holder is required to participate in the overnight on call rota and will do so once they have completed the relevant induction and achieved the required competencies, (specific rota details are held locally within departments).
