Full Job Description
Senior Risk Manager Location: Hybrid to Manchester, Peterborough or Stoke-on-Trent We are looking for a Senior Risk Manager who will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the organisation. You would be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Group's risk management frameworks, and advising senior leadership on strategic risk decisions, incident response and risk appetite. Key Accountabilities Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing constructive support, insight and challenge, promoting an active and informed risk-based decisions. Ensure Strategic and key risks and controls are effectively recorded and managed across the Group, including providing advice and guidance as to their management and monitoring. Conduct regular risk assessments, including operational, financial, and strategic risks. Prepare detailed risk reports and present findings to executive management. Lead cross-functional teams in the
implementation of risk controls and initiatives. Contribute to the development of policy/standards, tools and techniques for managing risk and lead work within the business units to validate their effectiveness. Act as an authoritative point of contact for significant risk issues from across Markerstudy Group, including the Provision of advice and guidance on significant/complex risk matters including the submission of deep-dive reports to business leaders and the Executive as relevant. Contribute to oversight and analysis of incidents providing challenge and guidance. Positively contribute to the embedding of a risk-based culture, coaching, influencing and challenging all colleagues to take personal accountability for risk-based decision making. Support the development and maintenance of the risk appetite and supporting KRIs and metrics for monitoring exposures. Support the development and provision of risk training and awareness across the organisation. Continually role model and bring

Required Skills and Qualifications Experience in risk management, preferably in a operating along senior leadership. Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to analyse complex data and present actionable insights. Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Resilient, proactive, and adaptable to change.
