Position: Bay View Childcare Senior Residential Support Worker

Salary: £27,750.53 with the potential to earn up to £34,470.53 with sleep-in shifts


We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our established residential team at Bay View Childcare. Based in one of our family-style children's homes in Carnforth, you'll support up to four young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, helping them thrive in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. Our homes are rated Outstanding or Good by Ofsted, and you'll play a key role in maintaining these high standards.


Main Purpose of the Role



  • Deliver high-quality care and support to children and young people within the home

  • Help achieve the best outcomes for each child through effective care planning, key work sessions and risk assessments

  • Provide leadership and guidance to support good practice in childcare

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company policies

  • Promote Bay View Childcare's values and contribute to the continuous improvement of care standards

  • Support regulatory requirements, including Regulation 44 visits


Essential Criteria



  • If you do not already hold the required qualification, you will be expected to undertake and complete a relevant Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children and Young People or Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship within two years

  • Knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and accompanying guidance and regulations, the Care Standards Act 2000 and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015

  • A full UK driving license
