Senior Researcher

We're looking for a Senior Researcher with experience on talent-led documentary series for ASAP. Must be knowledgeable of forward planning shoots and supporting crew on the ground. This is a chance to shape the story from the ground up while supporting the Series Producer & Series Director to deliver the creative vision., Sourcing and clearing locations. Recceing locations and relaying any complexities that might interfere with filming or access.
Building and maintain strong relationships with organisations and contributors with sensitivity and editorial judgement.
Methodical and organised with all documents and excel sheets keeping them regularly updated to support communication between editorial and production.
Supporting SP with databases, logistics, and contributor information.
Attending shoots and supporting it's reactional nature with contributor releases and crew/talent welfare.
Adapting and pivoting the schedule to the talents diary amendments.
Casting experts who are engaging, authentic, and can support the central talent's evolving journey.
Communicating with the team when any major work or event is added to the diary so that the team can be reactive in the changing elements in the talents diary.
Support the Series Producer/Director in shaping creative ideas.

Proven experience as a Researcher working with talent on fact-ent or primetime documentary series.
Demonstrable experience supporting forward planning and support on locations.
Highly confident with outreach and relationship-building, both on the phone and in person - comfortable leading conversations and following up leads.
Strong editorial judgement and creative idea generation.
Experience of being on location and driving errands when required to support the shooting team.
Experience of property series and understanding the nature of following complex builds.
An understanding of filming animals or livestock would be advantageous.
