Full Job Description

The Radiopharmacy provides diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceutical products and services across the Southwest of England. The Senior Radiopharmacy Production Training Officer is a senior member of the Radiopharmacy Production Team, working under the department's Manufacturer's (Specials) Licence to support the safe and efficient manufacture, quality assurance and supply of radiopharmaceutical products., The Radiopharmacy department is currently undergoing an exciting period of transformation. The Senior Radiopharmacy Production Training Officer will play a key role in shaping the department's training programme, supporting the development and competency of the production workforce, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of radiopharmaceutical production services., The Senior Radiopharmacy Production Training Officer will be responsible for coordinating, overseeing and progressing production training and competency development for Radiopharmacy Production staff. This includes planning and monitoring training programmes, maintaining training documentation and competency records, ensuring trainees are allocated appropriate training time, and supporting the implementation of training improvements in response to service and regulatory requirements. In addition to these responsibilities, the post holder will undertake routine radiopharmaceutical production activities and support the Deputy Radiopharmacy Production Lead with operational and quality management activities, including audits, observed assessments and invoicing processes. The post holder will provide operational support to the Production Lead and Deputy Production Lead and may undertake urgent operational duties in their absence, including workload coordination and rota planning, to ensure continuity of service delivery.
