Full Job Description

To provide basic radiation protection advice to patients and carers with respect to the investigation being performed. To refer to senior staff or appointed Radiation Protection Advisor for more detailed radiation protection advice where necessary. To gain intravenous access as necessary for the individual investigation in accordance with departmental procedures. To be capable of doing so in adult patients presenting with a range of clinical conditions. To administer pharmaceuticals using other access routes, for example by subcutaneous or oral routes where required by individual examination protocols, including sentinel lymph node injections prior to breast surgery. To administer radioactive medicinal products, together with any adjunct drugs as required by the individual procedure being performed.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Radiographer/Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Work independently at an advanced level across a range of radiopharmaceutical operations and quality assurance procedures.
  • Sub-dispense and administer radiopharmaceuticals and non-radioactive drugs in line with departmental guidelines.
  • Perform advanced nuclear medicine diagnostic and non-imaging procedures, includingSPECT/CT.
