Senior Radiographer

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and effective imaging services across various modalities, including adult and paediatric general X-ray, Mobile/Theatre work, A&E Imaging, Interventional Radiology, Fluoroscopy and CT. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Radiographers, Radiologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure the safe, prompt, and effective imaging of patients, adhering to local and national guidelines, including the Ionising Radiations (Medical Exposure) Regulations - IR(ME)R 2017.

Our service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, Working within a multi-disciplinary team the post-holder will contribute to the safe and effective running of the imaging department and will be able to perform a wide range of x-ray examinations to a high standard. The post holder will be required to rotate through ED and general x-ray, fluoroscopy, CT and theatres and they will participate in the delivery of a 24/7, 365 service. The post holder will offer supervision to band 5 radiographers, assistant practitioners, imaging assistants, students/apprentices and visitors to the imaging department. The post holder will ensure patient flow in the trust by actively managing the flow of emergency and in-patients to ensure same day imaging. The post holder will be key in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and experience. The post holder at all time will demonstrate a high level of professionalism and act in accordance with the HCPC standards of proficiency. Furthermore, they are expected to establish and maintain positive
interpersonal relationships with other staff members characterized by trust, mutual respect and open, honest communication.
