Full Job Description
o Work alongside the MR leadership team in the day-to-day running of the department, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and compassion.
o Provide guidance to a team of radiographers and radiographic aides, promoting their professional growth and development.
o Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment planning.
o Drive the implementation of new technologies and techniques, staying at the forefront of advancements in MR radiography.
o Participate in departmental audits, research projects and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
o Degree in Diagnostic Radiographyo Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).o PgCert in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (desirable)o Strong background in MR imaging with minimum 2 years experience.o Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and motivate a diverse team.o Excellent communication skills, fostering effective collaboration across departments.o Strong problem-solving skills, capable of making critical decisions in a fast paced environment.o Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up to date with industry advancements

The Christie Hospital is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Senior MRI Radiographer for a 12-month period to cover maternity leave. As a senior MRI Radiographer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of our MR service. You will work alongside the MRI Lead & deputies to support a team of talented radiographers, ensuring the provision of high-quality care across 4 scanners. Your expertise will contribute directly to the development of tailored treatment plans for patients, helping to optimise their outcomes & overall experience.
You will be supported to access professional development & post graduate educational opportunities offering routes into advanced clinical practice or senior management. The Christie People & Culture Plan actively supports AHPs to engage in advanced clinical practice & research from postgraduate through to doctorate level education. You will have the opportunity to be innovative & develop your own areas of interest to the benefit of the patients and the service., The Christie is one of Europe's leading cancer centres, treating over 60,000 patients a year.
