Full Job Description
We're seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Transportation team in Twyford, Buckinghamshire. In this role, you'll take the lead on the commercial administration of utility diversion projects for HS2 across the C2 and C3 sectors, spanning from Aylesbury to Warwick. You'll be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously (typically 3-4), with values ranging from £0.1m to £3m., As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for maximising value, controlling costs, optimising profit, and managing risk, all while ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with ethical standards for the contracts you are working on. Your day to day will include:
- Manage the commercial resources (finance) of the assigned project (or section) to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts
- Provide commercial expertise to contracts, to include the production and submission of valuations, claims, budget monitoring, and contract/workstream performance data
- Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement Kier Group's policies for risk management
- Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers
- Manage and develop more junior members of the team
A degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying - Experience within a similar role in the Construction/Highways Industry
- Excellent Communication skills both written and verbally

Hours: Permanent Fulltime 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us Salary: £55,200 - £73,200 per year + £5.9k annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefits
