Senior Project Support Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Support Officer to play a key role in delivering the Welsh Government's Genomics Delivery Plan for Wales. Genomics Partnership Wales was established in 2018 to support a collaborative approach to genomics to deliver a transformational programme working towards the following vision: Working together to harness the potential of genomics to improve the health, wellbeing and prosperity of the people of Wales The post holder will be working in a hybrid manner both from home and at an office in Cardiff as part of a small team but may be required to travel across Cardiff and Wales, and further afield as necessary. This post is full-time; consideration will be given to applicants who require part time or flexible working arrangements. The organisation encourages personal development, and you will be expected to take an active part in the Value Based Assessment (VBA) process. This is a challenging role, but you would also be joining a friendly, dedicated programme team with engaged stakeholders across many organisations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting Programme and Project Managers to deliver the Genomics Delivery Plan for Wales programme of work to time, within scope and resource allocation.This post would be ideally suited to an individual who is looking to expand existing project support experience or develop a career in project and programme management. This post will enable the successful candidate to be fully involved in a national, highly complex, highly specialist, multi-agency, multi-sectoral delivery programme. To achieve this the successful candidate will work closely with a variety of stakeholders from across Wales including clinical, laboratory and academic colleagues, Welsh Government, charitable organisations and the private sector. The post holder must demonstrate strong communication and administration skills to support the delivery of complex projects in a rapidly evolving and uncertain landscape designed to transform healthcare through the use of genomics; to meet short and long-term aims in partnership with multi-discipline professionals and patients. They must be able to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, and work as part of a team. The successful candidate will be able to evidence experience of working in an environment where changing circumstances are the norm.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
